To coordinate and lead our Consolidation team in the Group Shared Service Center in Lodz, Poland we are looking for a highly motivated professional as: Senior Group Financial Consolidation Specialist - Coordinator

Summary:

The Senior Group Financial Consolidation Specialist - Coordinator is responsible for and manages financial consolidation activities in accordance with group-wide accounting principles and standards in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for the assigned scope. This role acts as the key interface and node between the Financial Consolidation Team and Group Accounting. The Senior Group Financial Consolidation Specialist – Coordinator leads process and system improvements and optimizes financial consolidation. This role develops and maintains the financial consolidation governance framework through documentation, service level agreements (SLAs), and training initiatives. The Senior Group Financial Consolidation Specialist – Coordinator is responsible for developing and supervising the respective team members (Group Financial Consolidation Specialists), providing guidance and support on complex activities, ad hoc requests, key issues, and projects in the execution of duties.

Accountabilities:

• Lead and coordinate a team of 3 Group Financial consolidation specialists

• Act as the process owner for closing cycles and financial consolidation

• Lead and support on managing closing cycles and review accounting packages and notes

• Hold internal trainings on financial consolidation topics

• Coordinate and manage the transition of financial consolidation activities

• Establish and manage robust backup structures and teams for financial consolidation

• Manage and safeguard internal control systems related to financial consolidation

• Train team members through various learning and development initiatives (e.g., Individual Development Plans)

• Mentor and coach employees to ensure team effectiveness

• Lead and support on documenting and improving financial consolidation processes

• Develop, maintain, and promote financial consolidation knowledge related to SAP BW

• Introduce new financial consolidation concepts and reports including checks / balances (in SAP BW)

• Develop and implement closing cycle automation initiatives

• Establish and manage financial consolidation service level agreements

Skills:

Essential Knowledge:

• IFRS Accounting standards
• Financial Consolidation
• SAP (ERP and BW)

Qualifications:   

• University degree in economics, finance or business administration or similar educational background
• Experience of 3-5 years in a Group or Business Unit controller function including experience in consolidation and international accounting standards (IFRS)
• Experience in managing a team
• Experience working in an audit firm would be an asset
• International qualification like ACCA would be an asset

• Ability to coordinate the process and Team and work under deadline pressure
• Strong communication skills paired with a good level of customer focus ensure the capability of working amicably with people of various nationalities and to optimally serve our internal customer base, which typically consists of managers on all levels of hierarchy.
• High IT affinity (namely related to consolidation tools)
• Very good analytical, conceptual and connective cogitation and a hands-on and detail-conscious work style
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is indispensable and additional languages like French, German or other languages would be an advantage.
