Global Transportation Process Lead is a pivotal role situated in our Global Logistics Center of Excellence, a strategic unit dedicated to optimizing and transforming our global logistics operations. This position plays a critical role by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including Supply Chain, IT, Regional Logistics Teams, and External Partners to ensure that OTM is seamlessly integrated into the logistics system landscape and transport processes. In addition, the role will include super-user activities for the European OTM user group and potentially for other transport technology used in Barry Callebaut globally.
Key responsibilities:
Global Transportation Process Lead is global process and template owner in OTM. He is responsible to steer the maintenance, design and implementation of OTM and other transport relevant solutions that align with our company’s strategic initiatives within the implemented system. The mission is to enhance operational efficiencies, improve delivery performance, and enable efficient logistics processes.
- Ownership of global logistics processes within OTM to ensure globally aligned processes and system designs, by driving global standardization and harmonized ways of working across regions.
- Manage innovation, digital transformation and integration with other supply chain relevant applications (e.g. WMS, SAP, Logistics Command Center) by improving global processes and OTM template.
- Monitoring and optimizing transportation processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs through system enhancements or process changes.
- Partners closely with the Solution Architect Logistics to ensure strong alignment between business requirements, processes, functional design, and the technical architecture supporting digital enablement
- Lead the deployment of OTM solutions to meet organizational goals, ensuring effective implementation by liaising between logistics operations and technology teams.
- Translate business processes into functional requirements and contribute to the process design for OTM by creating functional specifications and supporting documentation, detailing the process flows and functional requirements.
- Improve main KPIs (e.g. OTIF, transport spend, lead time, transportation master data quality, no touch transports) and metrics within logistics and transportation scope and delivering cost savings, service improvement and transportation compliance.
- Act as the regional line of support for OTM-related issues, ensuring timely troubleshooting and coordination with IT and other stakeholders for resolution.
- Facilitate user adoption and proficiency by conducting training sessions, developing comprehensive user manuals, and advocating for best practices within your region, ensuring successful onboarding and ongoing support for end-users. Monitor user adoption and process adherence by implementing adoption KPI's and leading corrective actions with operational teams.
- Own and manage technical master data and templates, as well as integration documentation and templates, providing a solid foundation for system enhancements, standardization and configuration.
- Maintains transportation master data in OTM to ensure its quality, accuracy and reliability. Works together with key-users on the data gathering.
- Design, develop and manage access roles and enabling regional super-users to manage operational user access and role assignment for different user groups.
- Control and manage OTM change requests by prioritizing and coordinating their implementation with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and minimal disruption.
