Opis stanowiska

The General Manager Central Europe overviews all functional areas within his/her unit and leads the organization. He/she leads Gourmet & FM sales activities in Poland/Czechia /Slovakia/Baltic States and Ukraine, manages his/her assigned direct and matrix reports (among others Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, QA) to execute the business plan and delivers budgeted volume and margin. The ability to cultivate internal and external relationships, identify opportunities and develop market and account specific plans is critical.
The General Manager Central Europe reports into the President Central & Eastern Europe.
Travel requirements: Estimated travel time is 25%

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading, directing, and controlling the activities for the region, so that it achieves its short and long-term commercial, financial and operating objectives (for example increased profitability, productivity, or market share) as set by the overall corporate business plan.
  • Leading and supporting in particular the Customer facing functions to support them in achieving the ambitious growth targets
  • As General Manager, being responsible for coordination of all local activities in the different areas, in order to realize an efficient cooperation between all departments to achieve best service to the customer.
  • Having EBIT responsibility, is responsible for realizing the margin / turnover / EBIT as described in the BC budget
  • Motivating, coaching and supporting staff to ensure the overall performance of the team and achievement of business goals in a positive working environment
  • Establishing and building strong client relationships over time that allow for continuity and ongoing representation, reinforced by sales support/delivery programs, and communications to other relevant company functions/divisions. 
  • Monitoring competitive activity in the region and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated. 
  • Translating the BC group and the regional strategy into a country cluster strategy and driving the implementation in the area of responsibility.
  • Contributing with relevant information and proposals from a functional and local perspective to the regional strategy.

Wymagania

  • Excellent English skills, mastering a local language is a plus
  • Master Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or any related field plus 10 to 15 years of sales and leadership experience in a food related industry
  • Strong Commercial mindset and proven track record in achieving ambitious growth targets paired with strong negotiation ability
  • Experience of working in a multinational business context with matrix structure
  • Strong skills to manage senior stakeholders, both internally as externally
  • Excellent implementation skills (hands-on) with a good understanding of translating strategy & concepts into action plans
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others, in different locations
  • Creating a culture of collaboration and achieving results together
