The Master Data Business Expert manages the Data Governance process and documentation, acts as the functional owner of different applications, and manages projects for Master Data.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage multiple projects (global, regional) for Master Data in line with the project methodology. Projects can be driven by MD, Business, or IM, but Master Data is always a significant element of it.
• Manage Governance tickets that come to MD teams as requests to change data models, add fields, add new production lines, change the structure of data, change data in applications, etc.
• Evaluate incoming requests with the different business stakeholders. 
• Work closely with business departments to make sure their requirements are well captured and supported by the best functional and data solution.
• Design innovative and efficient solutions together with the impacted business departments as well as with IM/IT. 
• Implement solutions for all impacted processes and applications in relevant regions and business units. 
• Continuously update and improve Master Data governance documentation.
• Be the functional owner of different applications. 
• Manage the application in line with the application management framework and best practices. 
• Manage all incoming requests for application changes: evaluate, and design functional solutions together with business and IM, test and implement without incidents. 
• Minimize downtime by solving incidents as soon as possible while tackling the underlying root cause. 
• Ensure application documentation is complete and up-to-date. 
• Develop and deliver training, provide support to the regional Master Data teams, and act as project manager for global and regional projects within Master Data.

• Master's Degree in Economics/Business or a Science-related field.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience in Master Data environment and/or application management
• Experience specifically in this Material domain is a plus.
• Understanding of business requirements and ability to translate them into functional specifications / solution.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel and Access).
• Experience in Project Management.
• Very good analytical, communication & stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Travel requirements: up to 20%.
