Product Group System Drives being part of ABB’s Motion Business is a leading supplier of drives, drive systems and packages for process industry and high power infrastructure applications, as well as power conversion technology to renewable energy equipment OEMs. We are currently looking for candidate for the position of Lead Electrical Engineer to join Tendering and Execution Center for EMEA region. The person employed on this position will serve as a key technical lead in the assigned area of ABB project execution activity.
Your responsibilities
- Act as the ABB technical lead for an engineering discipline on a project. Interacts with customers and officials, contractors, and others
- Approves design deliverables and acts as the technical lead for an engineering discipline with the client
- Prepare complete technical documentation for both customers and production team
- Complete engineering assignments efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Assists in creating proposals for engineering projects or programs
- Demonstrate solid technical proficiency in own competence area by performing a variety of technology and engineering assignments
- Monitor progress, coordinates activities and resolves problems
- Creates work plans and cost estimates for work in own area of responsibility
- Follow-up of assembly and testing standards
- Maintain safe working environment by enforcing procedures, rules and regulations
- Maintain Bill of Materials on local level
Wymagania
Your background
- Higher technical education (preferred degree in electrical engineering, power electronics)
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical project engineering
- Experience working as technical lead on 1-5 MUSD industrial projects
- Experience working and coordinating with EPCs and External Consultants
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Good working knowledge of Medium Voltage equipment e.g. Transformers, Frequency Converters, Motors
- Understanding of process industry and high power infrastructure applications
- Ability to work in an international environment and to take a lead on multi-channel, international projects
- Strong results orientation
- Teamwork, collaboration and good communication skills
- Fluent in English language.

- Knowledge of Control Systems and PLCs nice to have
