We are currently looking for candidates to fill the position of Sustainability Certification Team Lead responsible for the management of operational activities within sustainability credit reporting: confirmation of incoming and reporting outgoing sustainability credits on external portals, internal reporting of volumes purchased and sold, reconciliations between external portals and internal reports, customer requirement and audit support. The role’s responsibilities are split into team lead and into executing part of the reporting functions. The sustainability credit reporting tasks are an important requirement of the different sustainability programs (e.g. Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, Fairtrade, RSPO & ProTerra) and are key for BC to reach its Forever Chocolate goal.

Key responsibilities:
Team Management:

  • Managing the credit reporting team.
  1. Overall responsible for delivering daily, monthly, and yearly targets by the team.
  2. Responsible for the development and performance review of team members.
  • Facilitate daily brief and coordinate work activities across team members and follows up on tasks allocated.
  • Mentor and coach employees to ensure effective work management.

Process owner:

  • Process owner for credit reporting in various portals and month-end closing process.
  • Overall responsible for credit reporting audits.
  • First point of contact for questions and process escalation.
  • Identifies and introduces process improvements.
  • Establish and manage process training, create robust backup structures, and lead documentation.
  • Manage and safeguard internal control systems related to credit reporting, and build checks/balances (in SAP BW).
  • Liaise with other stakeholders within and outside the company.
  • Identifies process requirements and training needs within the team and manages the knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Participates in establishing and monitoring the policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Work closely with Global Certification Manager in meeting reporting requirements.
  • Support the team with their reporting tasks.

Wymagania

  • University degree in finance, accounting, economics or business administration or similar educational background.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting or Reporting and managing financial support services.
  • Experience in managing a team and preferably a team of teams.
  • Previous team leadership experience is a firm requirement.
  • Experience in working with auditors would be an asset.
  • Experience in account reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Technology skills, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), SAP, and BW a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, service-oriented, demonstrates flexibility.
  • Strong ability to coach and motivate staff, keen on sharing knowledge, effective communicator.
  • Problem solver who can take on an existing challenge, analyze it, align with stakeholders, and implement the solution.
  • Proactive: able to operate autonomously and proactively network within the organization.
